Joan Stafslien is executive vice president, chief compliance officer, general counsel and secretary for CareFusion.

She most recently held similar responsibilities as senior vice president and general counsel for the Clinical and Medical Products business segment of Cardinal Health.

Joan joined Cardinal Health as senior counsel for Alaris Medical Systems and later became deputy general counsel. Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Joan was an associate at the law firm of Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison LLP, specializing in real estate, general corporate and environmental law. Prior to law school, she worked at The Dow Chemical Company as a chemical engineer and in sales roles.

Joan holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Northwestern University and a juris doctorate from University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School.
