CareFusion is pleased to present a series of specialized seminars tailored for the hospital-based biomedical engineer. These seminars will enable the biomedical engineer to acquire a comprehensive understanding of Alaris® Products instrumentation. The seminars are designed for extensive interaction with the instructors and hands-on experience with the instruments.

General information
  • Tuition includes resource material and/or service manual, lunch, morning and afternoon coffee breaks.
  • Instructors for all classes are members of the Technical Support Staff with a minimum of seven years experience with Alaris® product instruments.
  • Register early as class size is limited.
  • Classes with less than five attendees registered will be subject to cancellation 15 days in advance.
  • A confirmation letter will be emailed or faxed within one week of receipt of registration form.
  • PO # should be provided two weeks in advance. Cheques should be provided two weeks in advance.

Requests for training can be made to Technical Service Dept on 1300 729 258. Current modules are Alaris GP, Asena Syringe pump range, PCAM, Gemini, Signature SE, P6000/P7000.

CareFusion reserves the right to cancel any course at least three weeks (15 business days) prior to the start of the course due to insufficient registration.

  • Three weeks (15 business days) prior to a class, a notification is provided from CareFusion to the class participant(s) to inform them that the class will be cancelled if minimum number of participants has not been reached.
  • If no notification is received three weeks (15 business days) prior to a course, the training has reached the minimum number of participants and will take place as scheduled.


If the participant needs to cancel the registration to a class the following applies:

  • The cancellation must be received at least 20 business days prior to the start of the course. Tuition and other expenses (if applicable for the course) will be refunded.
  • If the cancellation is received 10 business days or less prior to the start of the course, then the tuition and other expenses will not be refunded.
  • If the cancellation for participation in a course that is free of charge (FOC) is received 10 business days or fewer prior to the start of the course, then a cancellation fee in the amount of $200 per cancelled registration will be imposed.
  • If the participant needs to substitute the name of the person originally registered to attend the course at a Cardinal Health training site, this substitution is accepted until 5 business days prior to the start of the class. The substitute must meet all course prerequisites. Failure to comply may result in the non-issuing of a Certificate of Attendance for the substitute.


Training facility requirements:

  • Working area no less than 30 square meters.
  • Rectangular tables to be used for participants, minimum of 1.6 meters in length (no round tables).
  • White board/flip chart and digital projector.
  • For ventilation training, if wall supplied gas is not available, then Air and Oxygen gas cylinders must be provided - minimum six of each gas is required.
  • For on-site training fully operational CareFusion equipment with tools and parts for use during the training must be provided


Certification:
For all Technical Service Trainings the participant receives a Certificate of Attendance on the last training day and is valid for the period specified on the certificate.

Minimum number of participants:

  • For all Infusion Pump Technical Service Trainings the minimum number of participants is four (Carefusion, Seven Hills. NSW) or eight (Other locations), the maximum number is six (Carefusion, Seven Hills. NSW) or sixteen (Other locations).
  • For Critical Care HFOV Technical Trainings the minimum number of participants is five, maximum number is nine.


Conditions of Payment:

  • Purchase orders or payments should be provided 20 working days in advance of the course. Course fees are listed below and are exclusive of GST.
  • Please make allowance for delays in banking transfers as they may impact on the above conditions.


Other:

  • CareFusion will provide all training material, parking at the venue, lunch, morning and afternoon tea breaks during the training sessions.
  • Participants pay directly for their airfare, hotel, transportation (rental car, taxi, train etc.), and other meals.
