The CUBIE® Replenishment system from CareFusion increases medication security by restricting access to only one medication at a time during the remove and refill process. When the medication is selected from the patient order screen, only the lid to the CUBIE pocket containing the medication will open, helping to eliminate the risk of your nurse selecting a medication from the wrong pocket. To add an extra layer of safety, each pocket can be programmed with medication data such as medication ID, name, quantity and expiration date.

CUBIE pockets can be filled with medications and checked in the pharmacy using the CUBIE Replenishment system. Using pockets with the replenishment system will help you address Joint Commission medication management standards that require a pharmacist to review all medication orders before dispensing and help ensure secure transport of pharmacist-verified medications from pharmacy to the nursing floor.

Only one pocket lid opens at a time, reducing potential for medication errors during the medication refill and selection process.
