Pyxis^® Specimen Collection Verification from CareFusion enables the association and positive identification of patients and specimens to improve the safety and efficiency of your laboratory specimen collection process at the point of care.

Our application provides you the ability to verify patient identification at the point of collection, reducing the risk of a patient/specimen mismatch. Portable label printers allow specimen labels to be printed and applied right at the bedside, reducing the likelihood of specimen mislabeling.

Pyxis Specimen Collection Verification automatically documents collection time and reasons for uncollected specimens, and lets you identify and track specimens at the point of care. You can access reports, including number of collections by personnel and incomplete draws, through the management console.
