Vishy Kanda serves as senior vice president and chief strategy officer. Kanda is responsible for leading enterprise-wide strategic initiatives and corporate development (M&A) to advance BD’s long-term growth strategy. He is also a member of the BD Executive Leadership Team.
Kanda previously served as senior vice president and head of strategy and business development for BD’s Medical Segment. Prior leadership roles at BD include vice president and general manager for new commercial models, and vice president of strategy and innovation.
Before joining BD, Kanda spent 10 years in management consulting, most recently as an associate principal at McKinsey & Company, where he served global Fortune 500 healthcare corporations, delivering on a range of strategy and operations initiatives.
Kanda holds a Master of Science degree in Technology and Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a Master of Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.
